![]() I plan on getting another WD-20EARS drive to add to the storage pool and get an OEM copy of WHS v1. Once all the drivers were loaded my SATA bluray drive was recognized, I installed the jumpered WD-20EARS drive and added it to the storage pool, I'm using the Samsung H204UI as a backup drive connected via eSATA dock. Once that was done I had a SCSI RAID controller that still wasn't recognized so I went to the MSI website and got updated drivers which fixed that problem. Once I got past that I inserted the driver DVD that came with my MSI motherboard, went into Device Manage and updated the drivers for all the unknown devices. ![]() The first problem I ran into was when setup got to setting up storage, my LiteOn bluray drive was no longer recognized so I had to install an IDE DVD drive to finish the installation. The SATA ports are set up as AHCI and SATA drives were disconnected during install. These drives were used with Vail and I wiped them out before installing WHS v1. I have a 200GB WD IDE drive for the system drive, a jumpered WD-20EARS drive and a Samsung H204UI. I did the same thing this past week, for the same reasons so I downloaded an evaluation copy of WHS v1 from MS and installed it on a box I built in Oct 2010 to use as a Vail test box. ![]()
